Our first ritual re-rendered 'Palaver: A Romance of Northern Nigeria' (1926), the first feature film shot in Nigeria. This colonial artifact shaped early cinematic narratives from an imperial gaze. Through speculative dialogue, we unravelled and reimagined the narratives in the film, engaging AI large language and video generation tools in materialising our speculations.
